My colleague just received this marketing kit from the folks at Lomography and Virginia is for Lovers. The invitation arrived in a cool printed envelope. Open the packet, and you’ll flip through a message printed Love Actually-style across about two dozen photos.

you will love this event.”
Then it gives the time, date and an address, a Lomography pop-up store on W. 8th Street, plus instructions to RSVP to an email address. Really curious what it’s about, since the event description is notably vague and I can’t find anything online. But that’s sort of the point of this style of marketing, isn’t it?
Though it wasn’t relevant for my publication, which only deals with a very specific local demographic, if it was what we covered this would be marketing done very very right. Now I’m curious who else received the packages.
Also, I keep writing Vagina when I mean to write Virginia. This is a problem.
